I believe this is very important.
It may lead us to love and peace.

On this glass vase,
an ambiguous world map is drawn by people from many different countries.

Some continents are missing.
Some islands are unclear.

I wanted to celebrate the "ambiguous Earth" within each of us.

Blessings for this ambiguous Earth.

あいまいなものをあいまいなまま受け入れること。

それが実は愛とか平和に繋がる、すごく大切なことなんじゃないかと思いました。

この花瓶には、いろいろな国で生まれた人が描いた、あいまいな世界地図が描かれています。

大陸が丸ごとなかったり、島があやふやだったり。

そんな、誰かのなかの「あいまいな地球」を祝福したいと思いました。

あいまいな地球に花束を。

note 『あいまいな地球に花束を』　曖昧さを祝福するという事​

この作品は「あいまいさを受け入れること」と「祝福すること」をテーマにしています。まず世界中の様々な国や民族の人々に、「正解を見ずに世界地図を描いてください」とお願いしました。そうして出来上がったあいまいな世界地図を特製の青いガラス瓶に掘り、花を添えました。

様々な国の人が描いた、多種多様な地球が並ぶと、まるで新しい小さな宇宙が誕生したように見えます。そんな、全てのあいまいな地球を祝福するための作品です。

The central themes of this artwork are "embracing ambiguity" and "celebrating it."

To begin, KYUN-CHOME asked individuals of diverse nationalities and ethnicities across the globe to draw a world map from memory. They carved the resulting ambiguous maps onto custom-made blue glass bottles and added flowers.

Arranged together, these distinct visions of the Earth created by various hands resemble the birth of a tiny new universe. This work exists as a celebration of all these imperfect, ambiguous Earths.
